Continuous-duty natural gas engines running 8,000+ hours a year on a compute pad must stay inside state air-permit thresholds (such as TCEQ Permits by Rule or minor-source authorizations) and federal NSPS Subpart JJJJ and NESHAP Subpart ZZZZ limits for NOx, CO, and VOCs. Where a pad sits near a ranch headquarters, county road, or municipal boundary, the project also needs acoustic modeling for exhaust silencers, radiator fans, and sound-attenuated enclosures.
